The service

Afterthought imports Kindle highlights you choose to sync and emails a selection of them to you. Afterthought is currently a free beta: features may change, and there is no guaranteed availability.

Your account and content

You need an email address you control. Your highlights and notes remain yours; you allow Afterthought to store and process them only to provide the service to you. Only sync content you are entitled to use for personal purposes.

Fair use

Don't attempt to access other people's data, disrupt the service, or use it to send email to anyone but yourself. We may suspend accounts that do.

Amazon and Kindle

Afterthought is independent and not affiliated with Amazon. Amazon can change its notebook website at any time, which may temporarily break syncing.

Liability

Afterthought is provided free of charge. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; otherwise only for breach of essential obligations, limited to typical, foreseeable damage.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time. We may end the beta with reasonable notice by email. German law applies; mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence stays unaffected. See also the privacy policy.
